2010 Licensing - Mountain Bike Events

ALL riders of races longer than 20km MUST be licensed in 2010.

There are 2 alternatives for licensing. 1 - join a club and register with CSA (Cycling South Africa), or 2 - buy a temporary day license.

  • CSA REGISTRATION
    • FIRST - YOU HAVE TO JOIN A CLUB
      • In order to register with CSA, YOU HAVE TO BELONG TO A CLUB.
      • ROAG offers you the opportunity of joining CLUB ROAG for FREE!! Just click on the "CLUB ROAG" box when filling in your ROAG details.
      • CLUB ROAG is affiliated with CSA and other sports bodies.
      • Or you can join any other club of your choice.
    • THEN - REGISTER WITH CSA
      • Once you have joined a Club, you can then register with CSA.
      • Go to www.roag.co.za and click on the "Join CSA" Link.
    • LICENSE OPTIONS There are 3 (THREE) different license options:
      • RACING LICENSE - R300 (per person, per annum) 
        • This is for riders who want to be eligible for provincial or national selection.
        • And for riders who want to be part of a national or provincial series.
        • You need to be at least 19 to apply for this license.
      • CYCLOSPORT LICENSE (MULTIDISCIPLINARY) - R75 only (per person, per annum)
        • Entitled to all benefits of Full license, EXCEPT
        • Cyclosport License holders will NOT be eligible for national or provincial selection, or points in national or provincial series.
        • You need to be a least 19 to apply for this license.
      • JUNIOR RACING LICENSE - R35 (once off, per annum)
        • Entitled to enter ALL events.
        • WITHOUT paying day license fee.
        • For under 19's.
  • TEMPORARY DAY LICENSE - R 35 PER EVENT
    • If you are NOT registered with CSA and want to participate in an event longer than 20km, you MUST purchase a TEMPORARY DAY LICENSE.
      • Valid for 1 (ONE) event only.
      • Pay Temp License fee in addition to race/event entry fee.
      • This is administered by event organisers.
  • CLUB ROAG / CSA LICENSE
    • By joining CLUB ROAG (even though CLUB ROAG is FREE!!), you are eligible to register with CSA, and buy any license they offer.
    • The MINIMUM license requirement only costs R20 per annum.
    • This is cheaper than buying a day license fee at each race.
