You may, of course, enter as many rides as you like! Simply add each race to your cart, one by one.

No matter what the ride, the fitter you are, the more fun you’ll have! With this in mind, Hill2Hill is a demanding event that requires dedication and training. In order to add variety and interest to your training program Hill2Hill events has arranged for Detour Trails to support a set of training rides on some of their favourite trails in the Umgeni Valley.

Detour Trails

  • All routes are circular, so start and finish at the same place, limiting riders’ travel arrangements.
  • Riders to meet at 06:30 at the start venue for a briefing - rides starts at 07:00 sharp.
  • The riders will be split into max 3 groups based on ride intensity, i.e. fast, intermediate, slow. The rides are not a race but a "group ride" so expect that there will be a need to occasionally regroup.
  • Each group will have a lead and sweep support riders.
  • Please be aware that these routes are on natural trails dirt roads and the like, so don't expect manicured single track, rather some more exciting stuff!
  • There will be a support vehicle in the area with spare water, but it can only meet the groups occasionally. We highly recommend that all riders use a min 2l hydration pack and carry all necessary spares to fix their bikes to minimise breakdown delays.
  • Spare water bottles (please clearly mark them with your name) can be left in the support vehicle.

The event organisers will make contact via email before the ride.
