DESCRIPTION:

The Kamberg Classic has earned a reputation as one of the best races on the calendar and  caters for all riders with a choice of 3 distances: 20km (beginners trail), 45km (intermediate trail) and the 65km Classic (advanced trail). There is also a 3km kids fun run/ride. The Kamberg is a mountain bikers paradise and the Glengarry trails are epic! A mix of jeep track, farm roads, forest trail and sublime single track. But what makes this ride really special is that it brings the mountains back into mountain biking; from the top of the Kamberg the views over the Drakensberg and the descents are spectacular! Andrew Hill (Men’s winner 2015/2017) said, “The route was spectacular, up there with the best in the country. Some amazing effort went  into the planning of what should be a race to add to most people’s calendar.” One of Bicycling Mags “must do” races last year.

The venue and great value…

The Kamberg Classic is hosted at Glengarry Holiday Farm, Kamberg, an awesome venue just 1 hour from PMB. After the race on Sunday riders can enjoy a complimentary burger. Plus, the first 100 entrants of the 65km Classic  will receive the very popular Kamberg Classic Peak. The atmosphere at Glengarry is great for families and spectators. The Pub and Garden Café will be open and good coffee will be available.  And for kids there is an animal farm, swimming pool, jungle gyms and plenty safe space to run and ride their bikes. If you would like to bring your family along and make a weekend of it, then accommodation at Glengarry is in self-catering cottages or camping.
